I had considered using vbox-headless but wasn't sure that would achieve my goal. Further reading of Ch 7 indicates it may work for at least one of my VM's. My project involves building Speakup into the Ubuntu debian installer. The remote display doesn't really matter but remote audio from the VM is critical to the success of my project. At the very least I should be able to confirm whether the VMs work or not.
