This may well no longer be news to you, but "uninstall.sh" in the 
Additions folder under /opt is it.

And normally when you start a Linux-based system you have the option of 
running in text-only mode in the Grub menu.

Feel free to give the Fedora people a gentle push regarding this issue, 
which does not seem to be at the top of their priority list[1] (assuming 
that you are seeing the same thing).
