Hi, I have some problems using virtual IDE devices with passthrough at the current virtualbox version.
The problem is fully described over here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2220045&p=13003566#post13003566 I also tested the virtualbox versions from virtualbox.org, the raring deb Package, the Repo and the "All distributions" variant.
