Ken, The easist would be to turn-off "sleep mode" in your system menu. If you have a SSD drive "sleeping" and defraging shouldn't be done anyways because you are wasting Program/Erase (P/E) cycles.
I've enjoyed setting up my MacBook with VMs, and discovered I only had 31GBs left out of a 512 GBs SSD, so I'm starting to set everything up on my Desktop PC Stephan -------------------------------------------- On Thu, 8/13/15, Kenneth Wolcott <[email protected]> wrote: Subject: [VBox-users] Two questions/problems: clipboard sharing from/to host/guest and date/time lagging on Linux guests To: "Community mailing list of VirtualBox users" <[email protected]> Date: Thursday, August 13, 2015, 9:00 PM Hi; I have two questions/problems: I'm using 5.0 VirtualBox on a Yosemite Mac Book Pro with an Lubuntu guest and two Fedora 22 guests. If the Mac Book Pro ever goes into sleep mode, then the guests lose time and date synchronization (apparently the drift is to much for ntpd to correct automatically). So I'd like to know how to prevent this if possible. I guess I'll google on how to force the date and time to get updated when I use the guest. Second question/problem regards host to and from guest sharing of the text clipboard. Is this possible? I know I can do something similar via Shared Folders (and I have dropbox too) as an alternative.
