It's possible, but as I want to use the same ova image for testing and
production, that console device parameter would either have to be (i)
absent, to trigger the kernel option (ii) mentioned both ttys as console
(which does not trigger the behaviour I need, namely writing to both) or
(iii) be toggled during testing vs production which would violate the
invariant to use the identical image.

@ian Do you know a dynamic/programmatic way to specify the kernel parameter?
