On Debian Jessie, I run vbox 5.0.32. A VM with Win7 runs out of diskspace, so I want to resize the vdi. No snapshot was ever established. The vdi was formatted with static size, so I cloned it to dynamic. showmediuminfo: UUID: e07898b0-05b8-4c82-8b5f-b0ea503bb58c Parent UUID: base State: created Type: normal (base) Location: /home/boris/VirtualBox VMs/Win7NAZA/Win7NAZA_var.vdi Storage format: VDI Format variant: dynamic default Capacity: 12288 MBytes Size on disk: 12016 MBytes Encryption: disabled Finally, I think all preconditions for resizing should be fulfilled, but VBoxManage modifymedium '/home/boris/VirtualBox VMs/Win7NAZA/Win7NAZA_var.vdi' --resize 6000 failes with 0%... Progress state: VBOX_E_NOT_SUPPORTED VBoxManage: error: Resize medium operation for this format is not implemented yet! Any idea is appreciated! Thanks!
