Environment: VirtualBox 5.1.14 r112924, Windows 8.1 host, any guest.
I'm trying to set up a virtual network to emulate a physical environment.
The physical environment has to follow the organisation's rules, which puts
the router at (say) 192.168.1.250. The physical network also limits switch
ports to one MAC address, so I can't simply bridge. So ideally I'd need a
NAT Network with the VBox-provided default gateway at .250, not .1.
Can I create such a network? VBoxManage appears not to provide such
options.
If I *have* to, I'll put a small VM on .250 to route - but I'd prefer not
to spend the RAM!
Thanks in advance for any advice,
- Peter
