Thanks for the replay Sammie,

  This issue here is limited to the interaction between windows and the WDDM
driver itself (which I understand is simply somewhat of a stub that reports 3D
acceleration being available). For some reason on this hardware, WDDM works
fine initially, but then fails within 30 seconds to 5 minutes locking the
windows desktop and taking the mouse/keyboard for the host with it.

  Since Aeroglass starts and works fine initially, this looks like a bug in
the "experimental" part of WDDM on this laptop.

  I was hoping others had had this experience on an HP i7 laptop with hardware
acceleration and could point to a fix or workaround.
