Screen savers can frequently cause many problems, even running on raw hardware.

It seems the obvious answer is to just disable the screen saver in the VM, and use the OS X screen saver/lock screen to protect everything.

Is there some actual reason you need a screen saver running on a VM?

Hi,

I have a very frustrating problem. I am runnig Windows in VirtualBox on
a Mac. Every time the Mac goes to screen saver, the VM is paused. So I
start a Windows Update, I go grab a coffee, the screen saver kicks in
and when I come back one hour later, nothing has happenned.

Is there a way to tell VirtualBox to keep on working, even when
minimized, even when the screen saver is on, etc.?

Thanks in advance,

Olivier
