Generally one has to explicitly install the next 'major' version which
may be either 4.x to 5.x to 6.x or it may be 6.0 to 6.1 to 6.2, it
depends a bit on what Linux distribution you are using (assuming
you're using Linux).

You need to remember to remove the old version explicitly too, it
won't disappear by itself.
