I had a similar problem with 5.10.3 running in a linux guest using linux guest additions built from testbuild 6.1.17-141968. See my post from 12/31: Linux 5.10.3 with testbuild 6.1.17-141968, Kernel Panic on Linux Guest at Start Though I would get through the Grub2 load and actually start loading the OS before the kernel panic occurred. There is something strange with the 5.10 kernel when running on a Linux guest that has not been fixed in vbox yet -- the 5.10 bug is still open: https://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/20055 I have also built 6.1.18 and have the Archlinux host running on 5.10.9, but any attempt to upgrade the Linux guest beyond 5.9 results in a kernel panic.
