I was unable yesterday to run any of my VMs (macOS Mojave, 2018 Mini), the
complaint being that some kernel item was not installed. There was a recent
security update, anyone know if this might be implicated? Also I was until
recently running with SIP turned off, is this needed to run VirtualBox VMs? I
did try to re-install 6.1.18 and then 6.1.22, but both fail at the end of the
install when validating packages. The message is simply:
The installation failed. The installer encountered an error that caused the
installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance.
Any suggestions?
