I use Safari only under duress, and have not tried any Safari beta or
Private Relay. I have no idea how they might affect things.

I didn't write it down, but I seem to recall seeing the same message when I
last installed VB:

You must specify a machine to start, using the command line.
Usage: VirtualBoxVM -- startvm <name|UUID>
Starts the VirtualBox virtual machine with the given name or unique
identifier (UUID).

As I recall approving it in Security & Privacy -> General fixed it.

Sorry, but with Microsoft dropping support for IE and pre-Chromium Edge,
I've no need to use VB and probably will not install it in the future.
