Thank you Sérgio, For fear of looking bewildered, just where is "kmk build" located? I've checked VBoxLinuxAdditions.run and there doesn't seem to be anywhere to add the parameter so that that it will be passed to make? From the vboxadd-setup.log I see the build string: make V=1 CONFIG_MODULE_SIG= CONFIG_MODULE_SIG_ALL= -C /lib/modules/5.17.1-arch1-1/build M=/tmp/vbox.0 SRCROOT=/tmp/vbox.0 -j2 modules But where in the VBoxLinuxAdditions.run process from the read-only mounted guest-addition CD can I specify the additional parameter? I've looked through /usr/lib/modules/5.17.1-arch1-1/build and don't see a tidy place to add the parameter. (in fact most of it is Greek) Any tips on where to add this? -- David C.
