Has anyone else seen a situation where system.exe in a win2k guest will periodically run at 99% cpu? If the guest is quiet and out of focus from the host, the guest will return to normal cpu usage in abt 45 seconds. But once an application on the guest is activated or used, the system.exe process start consuming cpu again... but will usually return to normal after a short period of time. The guest is running full patched (SP4) and with 256mb of mem. There are no indications of problems in the VBox.log nor in the guest Event Log. Any ideas on how to debug this?
