Hi,

I've installed VirtualBox on my Ubuntu system to run
Windows XP as guest. I want to share the /media/data
folder between host and guest so I did the following:

In Ubuntu: VBoxManage sharedfolder add "Windows XP"
-name "Data" -hostpath "/media/data"

In XP: net use x: \\vboxsvr\Data

This works for some time ie I can access /media/data
from XP but usually only when browsing folders
forward. This means that as long as I open folders and
subfolders it seems to work. However if I try to
browse back on the folder tree (like simply press back
button in Windows explorer), I get the following
message:

An error occured while reconnecting x: to
\\vboxsvr\data
VirtualBox shared folders: the local device name is
already in use. This connection has not been restored.

Then after I always get this message if I attempt to
browse the shared folder. Only a reboot restart the
connection, but only as long as I do not browse
backwards....

Any idea?

Thanks
