Hi Adrian,
modifyvdi -type is currently broken. What you have to do to make it work:
VBoxManage unregisterimage disk ~/.VirtualBox/VDI/isecom03.vdi
VBoxManage registerimage disk ~/.VirtualBox/VDI/isecom03.vdi -type immutable
We will remove the -type option from modifyvdi for the time being.
