Configure your Windows etc\hosts in c:\windows\system32\driver\etc that your
host is at 10.0.2.2. Then you can ping/ssh into your host from your guest.
You should be able to access the internet fine if your host is connected to a
wired LAN. I have issues using my wireless that I have not yet resolved.

I currently have a problem when trying to establish TCP/IP connection from my
guest ( WinXP ) to anywhere.
Guest does not seem to get a proper route.
For example ping to my host ( 192.168.0.100 ) fails due to timeout.
Trying to load any web-page fails because www address can't be resolved.
Host runs kernel 2.6.19
I configured interface for guest to be NAT in VirtualBox setup.
No changes in interface setup on guest.
