I succeded in doing it with linux.
I used used vditool to make a copy of the VDI disk in a DD format.
I then mounted the partitions using the classic tools ('fdisk' to get
info about the partitions and 'mount' to mount them)
Then again, vditool to change the format back to VDI
I stop here. If you are interested I can search for the pages where
I got useful tips on that. And also write some tips of myself.
