Qemu emulates certain hardware, i.e. a soundblaster or ensonic card, a monitor, etc. VirtualBox emulates a certain ethernet card and everything else just works (or is supposed to). Problem with VirtualBox's approach is that Windows (any version to my knowledge), wants a valid driver installed. Install in Qemu and it does and has this. The Windows programs think they are playing through a older generic soundblaster and the sound comes out of your sb128. Start Windows in Vbox, open the device manager and see audio device checked as error! Try to install a driver. It will not find one. (Same for your video card and number of others--my win98 complains about the video monitor setup on each boot but then works OK). _______________________________________________ vbox-users mailing list [email protected] http://vbox.innotek.de/mailman/listinfo/vbox-users
