I actually did the setup previously using Qemu. That seemed to work at 
"normal" speed (more the ten minutes, I am afraid, for a clean setup). The 
thing ran very slow on Qemu. I converted the file to a vdi and fired up 
VirtualBox. It barked at Qemu's "hardware" but then ran flawlessly, hovever 
still quite slow. My impression is that Win98 runs better, allowing for the 
"hardware problems", in vbox. Qemu is cleaner.

Main thing is that the extensions, sort of critical for a decent vbox run, do 
not work on Win98. Actually, I have seen the easier mouse work occasionally 
but this is the least useful extension.
