What makes you think the Guest Additions for Linux are too buggy to be
used? To our knowledge, they work fine in even the most exotic setups
and there are a lot of customers that rely on them in mission critical
environments. Even Shared Folders work reliably with Linux guests (but
not yet with Windows guests).
