I don't think so. When you allocate 128 MB, it takes 128 MB from your real
memory. VMWare takes just the memory it uses (less than 128 MB). If you run
more than one VM, you'll see how your host's performance (and guests'
performance)  goes down.

If you have a GUI client on your network then it is working !

Windows XP Pro can be remotely shutdown via Task Manager. Linux can be
remotely shutdown via init 0 command.


Of course, using VBoxVRDP you can start your VM's with remote desktop
enabled (and shutdown them later). I just wanted a more "centralized" way,
without opening extra shells, ssh or rdesktop commands.
