Hi: The FAQ says that virtualbox has to be run with admin rights.
I can run virtualbox as a normal user, but sometimes it won't start at all, displaying a message like this: - VIRTUALBOX Critical Error - Failed to load the global GUI configuration - The application will now terminate - Callee RC: E_AccessDenied 0x8007005 Then if I try again, lots of times, it does work sometimes. This is a surprising random error. I'd like to know whether the FAQ is outdated or whether it is true that virtualbox has problems running with admin rights. I'd really like to use Virtualbox in a teaching environment, but I've got the need that it runs without admin rights.
