Hello all,

I've installed VirtualBox 1.3.8 OSE on host Ubuntu 6.10 Edgy and am running a
guest with MS Server 2003. I'm
using NAT networking for the quest. I'm trying to achieve a configuration that
I have working with VMware.

I want to be able to configure the ip (range) for the guest used for NAT. I
don't want 10.0.2.x but for
example 192.168.245.x. Something that can be easily done when configuring
vmware. I can't find any info
whether it is possible to do this with VirtualBox and if so how to do that.

Also I want to be able to access the guest, for example accessing a webserver
on port 80 or 8080, or accessing
a shared windows folder. The user manual speaks of setting up incoming NAT
connections for a ssh server, but I
don't see what to specify exactly for opening up port 80 for example.

All I want to achieve is for example to be able to access a webserver on the
guest in a webbrowser on the
host. The guest does not have or better should not be accessible outside of the
host.

Is there someone who already did this, or someone who knows how to do this. And
if so, could you please help
me out on this with some pointers (on a Linux networking newby level).

Thanks in advance,

Erwin Brinkhuis.
