Looks like the VM saw the Windows (Meta, Penguin &c) key as permanently
pressed. e launched the Run dialog, u launched the virtual keyboard
launching dialog &c. Pressing the Windows (in my X configuration, Meta)
key once seemed to solve it.

Here I guess the problem is more subtil. I can do MS Windows Update,
but can't find the domain controller. I guess the VM NAT isn't allowing
such packets thru. How to?
