There are 4 ways to set the clipboard copy/paste in vbox. They are off, guest to host, host to guest, and bidirectional. It sounds like your clipboard setting inside of vbox is set for guest to host. Check that, and set it to bidirectional, if it's not set that way already. If that doesn't help still, then I guess you'll just have to wait for 1.5.2 to come out, and I really do hope that will include a fix for host serial port support under a windows host as well.
