Hi, I'm fairly new to VirtualBox but I've been looking into setting up "host
interface networking" as had been described in the following guides:
http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/VirtualBox#Using_host_interface_networking
http://mychael.gotdns.com/blog/2007/05/31/virtualbox-bridging/
I am running up to date ArchLinux with a 2.6.22 kernel on both my PC and my
laptop.
Whichever method I try for this on both machines creates the following error
when trying to start a virtual machine:
Unknown error creating VM (VERR_HOSTIF_INIT_FAILED).
VBox status code: -3100 (VERR_HOSTIF_INIT_FAILED).
Result Code:
0x80004005
Component:
Console
Interface:
IConsole {1dea5c4b-0753-4193-b909-22330f64ec45}
I would like to add that if I set the machines settings back to NAT then
they start without a problem.
Has anyone got any suggestions?
Thanks in advance
Nistur
