Hi, first let me say how impressed I am with VBox. It just works.

My old 2 disk Windows setup died with the boot disk so I've installed
a new disk with Ubuntu Gutsy on. To get at my data disk I decided to
use the OSE version of VBox and build and install from trunk rather
than the version package for Gutsy.

I need to access my old Windows data disk (/dev/sdb but unmounted)
from a Windows Guest and the manual indicates I can do so using VMDK.
However the 'VBoxManage internalcommands createrawvmdk' gives and
invlaid command and from the source it appears that if OSE then
USAGE_CREATERAWVMDK is 0 so is unavailable.

What is my best course of action so I can access this disk and get at
all my data under Widows?

Thanks
