Greetings,
Newbie question...
I'm trying to use run Solaris DE w/ VirtualBox on a
Redhat EL 5.0 box. I have a monitor that supports
1600x1200 resolution but when Solaris boots it only
sees 1024x768 and below resolutions. If I use the:
setextradata "VMname" "CustomVideoMode1"
"1600x1200x24"
I see in the /var/log/Xorg.0.log file the line:
(II) VESA(0): Not using mode "1600x1200x24" (no mode
of this name)
With linux I know you can pass the video mode via the
vga=number but I don't know how to do this with
solaris and I can't find info googling...
Thanks in advance for help here!
Tom
