You can merge snapshots back into the base image by discarding all
snapshots but the current state:
Snapshot 1 (base.vdi)
+- Snapshot 2 (diff1.vdi)
+- Snapshot 3 (diff2.vdi)
+- Current State (diff3.vdi)
1. Discarding Snapshot 3 will merge diff2.vdi into diff3.vdi and delete
diff2.vdi afterwards.
2. Discarding Snapshot 2 will merge diff1.vdi into diff3.vdi and delete
diff1.vdi afterwards.
3. Discarding Snapshot 1 will merge diff3.vdi into base.vdi and delete
diff3.vdi afterwards.
After that, you will be able to clone base.vdi as usual using
`VBoxManage clonevdi'. Later, it will be also possible to clone hard
disk branches w/o first discarding/merging them.
