Steve, what you say is true, with the caveat that
word documents edited using openoffice and saved
as word ".doc" documents, will not display correctly when
viewed on windows using MS Word. I have done this several
times - and decided to put up with it. It's only when I
have to send those documents away to people who are not
unix/linux clones users, then I resort to using MS word
to edit and fill out those docs.
