Micheal, This question has been asked my many people in the recent past and I
was one of them. On searching on internet, I came to know that vbox does not
have the capability to resize/extend a disk out of the box. There are
workarounds given that comprise of copying disk devices and using the newly
copied device. One person has done it using gparted. Some answers are present
in forums.virtualbox.org. Search on resize and you should see some hits. The
brute force method of disk copying will work though.

Subject: [vbox-users] disk image too small

Hello

I am new to VirtualBox and I think I did something wrong when I setup my
fist diskimage.
I am useing Version 1.5.6 and created a "growing" virtual disk for
WinXP. I set the size to 5GB what is too few as I realize now.
Unfortunately I missunderstood the dokumentation - I was under the
impression they start with 5 GB and grow if needed. Well now I have a 5
GB max limit and run out of space.

Is there a way to enlarge an image, or can I create a new one and then
copy the one to the other??

Thanks a lot
Michael
