I am doing likewise and get the choice of 800x600 or 640x480. > This is in contrast to my earlier installation of Ubuntu 7.10, which > gave me 1280x1024. I also obtained 1280x800 with 7.10 for VM use on a laptop. > So my question is, what should I do to increase the resolution? I think the secret lies in /etc/X11/xorg.conf but the contents seem to have changed somewhat from 7.10 to 8.04. I am more used to editing xorg.conf in the various flavours of PCLinuxOS to run within VirtualBox. If I solve it I will post again, but others who are more knowledgeable may be along shortly. -- Martin Goose _______________________________________________ vbox-users mailing list [email protected] http://vbox.innotek.de/mailman/listinfo/vbox-users
