Is there any way to have several versions of one virtual disk in the disk manager?

Would be helpful e.g. for crosschecking system behaviour before and after an update.

But after copying e.g. a diska.vdi to diska_bak.vdi and trying to manually include diska_bak.vdi to the managed disks using the "Manager für virtuelle Medien" (German language version, translates "virtual media manager"), I receive the following error message:

Konnte Festplatte /VDI/diska_bak.vdi nicht registrieren (translates to "failed to register hard disk /VDI/diska_bak.vdi") A hard disk with UUID {53d631d4-ac20-47f6-c092-59171aef22bd} or with the same properties ('/VDI/diska_bak.vdi') is already registered.
