I., too, have seen the same behaviour with VB  v1.56 on a Centos v5.0
host.   I switched to  vmware server v1.04 but performance is only
marginally better.  CPU utilization spikes to 100% when 3 or more VMs are
running eventhough the server is running dual core CPU with 4GB RAM.
