On web page
http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Migrate_Windows

we are advised to run MergeIDE utility and to
either rename the two files agp440.sys, intelppm.sys
or to use the recover mode of the installation CD
and disable these 2 drivers, or to simply re-name
them to someting else to prevent their loading.

On my AMD Athlon 64 machine,'s winxp installation,
I could not find agp.sys, but did find these files:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\amdagp.sys
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\sisagp.sys
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\viaagp.sys

Could someone from support tell me if they might
be the cause of why my migrated winxp installation
will not boot all the way up under VBox?

Also, the document talks about the different hals used
when installing windows:

   * Hal.dll (Standard PC)
   * Halacpi.dll (ACPI HAL)
   * Halaacpi.dll (ACPI HAL with IO APIC)

However, no mention is made of what to do with the
installed hal(s) when discussing migrating existing
disks. Could someone from support explain what to
do about the hal dll's for migrated disks?

Regards,

JD
