I have VB 1.5.6 running on Ubuntu 7.10 with a Win2KPro VM. USB is
working but I have one problem that hopefully there is an easy solution.

I have a Canon USB MP750 printer that I use with Ubuntu. Works well, but
there are a few features that are not fully available w/linux. When I
connect the printer in VB/VM Windows 2KPro by enabling the printers USB
filter, the printer connnects and works just fine.

Problem: As long VB is open, I can no longer access the printer from
linux & cups; print jobs are held. That's OK too & I guess to be
expected. But when I disconnect the USB port from within VB using
Devices|USB Devices (uncheck the box), VB does not release the USB port.
The device status box shows as unchecked/connected, but the port is not
getting released. The only way that I can get the port back in
linux/cups is to: 1) close down the VM, 2) exit VB, and then 3) turn the
printer on/off.

Is there a workaround to get VB to release the USB port?
