If I understand correctly, fixed IP is a key?

Now I have the bridge and vbox1 two fixed IP, and windows connection, bridge
and vbox1 all say that they are connected, even do some blinking for me. But
my network in vm does not work totally.

I have done bridge on linux hosts, which is easy. On windows hosts, it is
really a mess.

Subject: [vbox-users] How to use bridge network with windows xp host?

Hello,

As the manual says, I created an interface with GUI. Then I chose
the interface and my nic to create a bridge from pop menu in network folder.

So the bridge and my nic both said they were “connected”, but the
vbox interface did not.

Then I start my vm (debian sid). It could probe the device, but
said that the network is unreachable. And the interface I saw in windows is
also unconnected.

         What should I do?

Thanks.
