Hello Hakim, I must have missed your original note concerning bridging on OpenSolaris hosts, but at least we have consistent results. Maybe this will work in VirtualBox 1.7.
As far as shared folders not working on OpenSolaris hosts, I am sure that I saw that documented somewhere, but at the last Dallas/Fort Worth OpenSolaris user group meeting, VirtualBox was the presentation topic, and it was discussed that shared folders on OpenSolaris host would not work under VirtualBox 1.62.
