I have a similar problem using 2.0.2 (linux Ubuntu 8.04.1 host -
Win2KPro guest); whenever I shutdown from the guest I get a black screen
& end up having to kill the session with the VBox manager. On another
system (identical box including video, memory, cpu etc) instead of a
black screen I would get the vertical green and black bars you mention
on shutdown from the guest. I backed the second machine down to 1.6.6
and haven't had any problem with it since.
