At your suggestion, I set up another OS guest the same OS (WinXP) as before in
the Vbox but with different name typed in. The mouse capture problem persisted.
I then removed the Vbox 2.02 to re-install it. Same problem. Then I
un-installed it to try the older version – 1.6 that it worked well before. It
won't work because of a hidden file that was left behind by the newer version
that it couldn't work. I am at loss in this matter not knowing what else to do.
Me old dummy man like an old dog struggling to learn a new trick. Oh well.
Currently I do not have a Vbox here in my computer.
I must admit that I found Ubuntu 8.04 no better than Windows XP and what more
I couldn't get my scanner and webcam running in Ubuntu that had dismayed me.
That mainly was the reason why I tried Vbox. I went through alot in the forums,
Ubuntu support and user manual and it seemed that I went nowhere (not able to
find anything I was looking for). It had consumed up too much of my time. Me
dummy anyway. Thank you for trying to help me. Jim
