I am trying to set up a VM (with CentOS) under Windows Vista 64bit that is intended for productive use and performance matters. I though that using a raw disk partition for the VM's swap might be a good idea (any experiences?), but i am stuck with permission problems. As myself I cannot even list the physical disks partitions, and when I run a DOS window as admin to issue VBoxManage commands, it doesn't find my VirtualBox settings.
Should I run VirtualBox itself as admin, too, and perhaps set the environment variable to point it to the correct location of the config files? Any recommendations?
