what's bad avout i486? There are slackbuilds for libcap on slackbuilds.org. You'll also find slackbuilds for VirtualBox there. libcap shouldn't be an issue with that. I have not yet tried myself to compile 2.1.0, but I know at least one other person who is already running it on Slackware. FWIW, I do not think this is an issue with VirtualBox (I might be wrong though). Grs, Heinz
