I'm trying to use VirtualBox 2.0.6 for Mac OS X (Leopard 10.5.6, MacBook2,1).
I've created a Windows virtual machine and installed Windows XP. While going
through the motions to update the OS to the latest SP and patches, many
restarts are required, and I have now hit a stretch where every restart attempt
results in a black screen with some vertical lines or strange graphics patterns
on the screen, which might indicate a graphics problem. If I send the machine
a Reset command, it reboots without issue, but the fact that it won't reboot
cleanly is somewhat bothersome. Is there something I can do to alleviate this
problem?

In an unrelated note, but possibly related to the OS X version of VirtualBox: I
am encountering Windows activation and "genuine" prompts and pop-ups in this
virtual machine like never before. I have installed this particular
(completely legal) copy of Windows on another machine and in other
virtualization software, and I'e never been prompted to activate the copy
before. Perhaps this is due to some new MS validation scheme, or something
VirtualBox is doing, or some combination of both?

Thanks,
~John
