Hi all,

Ever since 1.5.2 I have been unable to re-start a saved machine when the host
os is installed on a SATA drive.

However, I did a stupid thing a couple of days ago, (wiped out a lot of my
main HD, but that's another story !) and so I have re-installed my Host OS
(openSuse 10.3), this time using a SATA drive.

I re-installed VB 1.6.6, and found I couldn't re-start a saved machine. So, I
have now upgraded to VB 2.1.0, but theproblem persists.

I get this error message:

Unable to restore the virtual machine's saved state
from '/home/paul/.VirtualBox/Machines/Windows
XP/Snapshots/{bc124386-18a4-4518-20ba-4b442be8f99e}.sav'. It may be damaged
or from an older version of VirtualBox. Please discard the saved state before
starting the virtual machine (VERR_SSM_LOAD_CONFIG_MISMATCH).

Result Code:
NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005)
Component:
Console
Interface:
IConsole {e3c6d4a1-a935-47ca-b16d-f9e9c496e53e}

If I discard the saved state it runs fine. What can I do to make it possible
to re-start this from a saved state please ?

If there are any error logs I should post, please tell me.

Thanks

Paul Williamson
