As far as I can tell, with testing on several different versions of Linux and even Windows Vista on different hardware, VirtualBox 2.1.0 should have never been released as stable. I don't mean to be mean. I know the engineers work hard but it is just not anywhere close ready for production use. My professional opinion is you should go back to 2.0 if you can.
