Would it be possible to add code to Virtualbox so, when a Windows VM
is shut down, the last thing VBox does, after the VM has been
effectively disabled,is to delete the pagefile from the VM's "virtual
disk"?

In my case, I often RAR and archive VMs, and just having the
1-gigabyte pagefile taking space in the VM's virtual hard drive just
adds time to the compression... and creates bigger files for no
reason.

Also, obviously on startup, VirtualBox should recreate the blank pagefile...

As a work-around (not to have VBox fidle with reading registry entries
from the Windows copy) perhaps it could just place a
"pagefile-size.inf" file in the root dir?

Just thinking aloud....
