I am using Virtualbox 2.1.2 on Ubuntu 8.10 on AMD 64 (2.6.27-11 kernel). I have recently upgraded to this version and using Windows XP as my guest os. After certain period of time the mouse becomes unresponsive. The mouse pointer is visible and able to move around but I can't click on anything. Even when I escape from Virtualbox (Right ctrl), my OS and windows manager -- KDE -- won't react to the mouse. During this ordeal my keyboard is active so I have to exit by rebooting.
