I am having trouble getting serial ports through to the guest. I am running a 64-bit Fedora 10 host. I want to get the port through to an XP guest, but since I don't know my way around Windows very well, I have created a 64-bit Fedora 10 guest. I assign the host device /dev/ttyS0 to the COM 1 port in the guest. As a simple test (and because I want to end up getting it to the XP guest) I use a Palm Pilot serial cradle and I run statserial looking at the control lines of the serial interface. On the host it shows the Data Set Ready line going to a 1 when I put the Pilot into the cradle. However statserial running on the guest never sees any change in the status lines. (The Palm Desktop on the XP host never can sync up to the Palm)
